Name :
Recombinant Human TPK1 Protein (His Tag)
Biological Activity :
Background :
Thiamine pyrophosphokinase (TPK) produces thiamine pyrophosphate, a cofactor for a number of enzymes, including pyruvate dehydrogenase and 2-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase. Episodic encephalopathy type thiamine metabolism dysfunction (OMIM 614458) due to TPK1 mutations is a recently described rare disorder. The genomic variations in the fetal and maternal TPK1 gene could contribute to the variability of birth weight in normal humans.
Biological Activity :
Kinase activity untested
Expression Host :
Human
Source :
E. coli

Synonyms :
thiamin pyrophosphokinase 1
Amino Acid Sequence :
Molecular Weight :
The recombinant human TPK1 consists of 261 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 29.5 KDa. It migrates as an approximately 27-32 KDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.

Storage and Stability :
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Endotoxin Level :
Please contact us for more information.
Protein Construction :
A DNA sequence encoding the human TPK1 (AAH68460.1) (Met1-Ser243) was expressed with a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus.
Buffer Solution :
Supplied as sterile PBS, pH 7.4.Please contact us for any concerns or special requirements. Please refer to the specific buffer information in the hardcopy of datasheet.
Shipping :
Kinases are highly recommended to be shipped at frozen temperature with blue ice or dry ice.Shipment made at ambient temperature may seriously affect the activity of the ordered products.
Redissolution :
A hardcopy of COA with reconstitution instruction is sent along with the products. Please refer to it for detailed information.
