General description: N-myc downstream regulated 1 (NDRG1) is a cytoplasmic hydrolase that modulates stress, hormonal responses, cell growth, differentiation and LDL receptor trafficking. It mediates antimetastatic effects in cancer cells and is downregulated in prostate cancer cells.
