Application: Anti-SNAP25 antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 1 μg/ml.
Biochem/physiol Actions:
SNAP25 is a presynaptic plasma membrane protein and component of the SNARE complex that mediates vesicle exocytosis. The SNARE complex is made up of synaptobrevin at vesicle membrane and SNAP25 and syntaxin at the plasma membrane. SNAP25 plays important role in endocytosis and couples exocytosis and slow clathrin-dependent endocytosis at synapse. Allelic variations in SNAP25 gene and reduced expression of the transcript in prefrontal cortex are associated with risk to Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Immunogen:
The immunogen for anti-SNAP25 antibody: synthetic peptide derected towards the C terminal of human SNAP25
